Innovation Norway has signed a framework agreement with Allegro
Quality was a crucial consideration in Innovation Norway’s choice of Allegro. Innovation Norway emphasised expertise and the quality of translations of relevant texts. Since the majority of the work under this agreement is from Norwegian into English, it has also been taken into consideration that Allegro has many in-house English translators, both government authorised translators and other experienced translators.
The agreement also covers Sami, Russian, German, Swedish, Danish, Dutch, French, Italian, Spanish, Chinese and Polish.

Allegro has become a member of TBBF
Allegro is now a member of the trade organisation for Norwegian interpretation agencies (TBBF). Our quality and interpretation manager Alexandra Leontieva is a member of the board of TBBF.

The EFTA Court has chosen Allegro as its supplier of translation services
In autumn 2009, the EFTA Court and Allegro signed a framework agreement for translation services. The agreement concerns translation between English and Norwegian, and between English and Icelandic.

Sigrid Svarstad, who joined Allegro last year in a combined project coordinator/market coordinator position, is now working full-time as a market coordinator.

Allegro continues to look for a translator from Norwegian to English. Adeline Scott, who spent a few months with us from last summer, was homesick and sadly left us to return to Glasgow shortly before Christmas. A few candidates were interviewed and performed trial translations around Christmas, and in January Silje Gjerde joined the English department. Silje has a Master's degree in English from the University of Bergen, and she has also taught American literature and culture at the university.

Government authorisation exam
Siv Saure passed the Government Authorisation exam from English into Norwegian in autumn 2008. Congratulations!
