Specialist areas

Together, Allegro's translators and interpreters cover a very broad range of specialist areas, and we are not afraid to take on new challenges - on the contrary, we like our jobs because we have an opportunity to develop all the time through learning something new.

The oil industry and its suppliers account for roughly a third of Allegro's turnover. We translate everything from technical drilling procedures to investigation reports, HSE manuals and annual reports.

We also have regular customers in the rest of the energy sector, and we are familiar with the terminology used on the Nordic power exchange.

We have long experience of translating for public bodies both in Norway and abroad, and we are fully conversant with EU terminology. Aviation, drug policy and the environment are among our specialist fields.

We are highly experienced in translations of annual reports and accounts, as well as legal texts including Acts of parliament and Regulations. We have extensive experience of translations concerning fish, fish farming, the food industry and food safety and pharmaceuticals, and some of our translators are highly experienced in the translation of medical texts.

The courts and many legal firms are among our regular customers, both for translation and interpretation services.

We have many years' experience of translating texts about travel and tourism, cultural history and the arts and culture.

We also deliver stamped, authorised translations of school/university certificates and references.
