Allegro’s competence requirements are based on our quality system. The majority of Allegro’s translators are government authorised translators, which means they have passed the highly demanding and internationally recognised exam in translation at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH).
We make the same stringent demands of our freelance translators and translation partners as we do of ourselves. We have our own procedures for selecting translation providers, in which trial translations and experience are important elements. Most of our freelance translators have proved their proficiency through many years of cooperation.
Our procedures require that there are always at least two translators involved in each assignment, one who translates and another who proofreads and revises the translation. This means that the experience we accumulate is not just acquired by the individual translator but is shared by all our translators. This ensures continuity and shared learning.
Allegro has developed a quality system based on ISO 9001 and NS-EN 15038 Translation services – Service requirements. We are approved suppliers to the following industries: oil and gas, energy, building and construction, public administration, insurance and transport through the Achilles Joint Qualification System, Utilities NCE, StartBANK and TransQ.
